“The odyssey of cruelty is afoot. The biggest threat to the current state of the Republic is love. Easiest to express, derelict in underpass. Sharp is the tongue, kindness is apropos, Give it a go.”

Call To Action

A call to poets/rappers to respond to the images below. The images are taken from a series of paintings centered on abuse/bullying.

THE MURMER

POEMS

In the Corner

This is it, the sorrow of the corner, sitting by oneself
disconsolate, bare-legged, left
without right words, right things,
and dreaming of the silence that may come,
at last, as consolation,
in the afterhours of so much agitation.
And we’ve all been there,
holding the world in our cold hands,
kneading our scalp,
the tightened vessels and the course of blood,
brain-blistering away,
still wondering and waiting.
Always waiting for the time to come.
